Former World Number One and Major Champion Adam Scott is the latest star confirmed for the Genesis Championship, taking place at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan from October 23-26.

The Australian, who won the Masters Tournament in 2013, will tee it up alongside Presidents Cup teammates and home favourites Byeong Hun An, Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim and fellow Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama of Japan.

Tickets are on sale for the final regular event of the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai and can be purchased here.

Scott reached the pinnacle of the game when he became World Number One in 2014 and he has 25 victories to date across the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, including the 2020 Genesis Invitational and two World Golf Championships.

The 45-year-old holds the record for the most appearances for the International Team at the Presidents Cup with 11 and is also his side’s record points scorer with 23 since making his debut in 2003.

“I always look forward to the challenge of competing on a new golf course and I’ve always enjoyed playing in South Korea,” said Scott. “It has been a few years since I last played there, so I’m excited to go back.”

Also joining Scott in the field are Thomas Detry, who became the first Belgian to win on the PGA TOUR earlier this year at the WM Pheonix Open, and DP World Tour winners Laurie Canter, Angel Hidalgo, Pablo Larrazábal, Keita Nakajima and Elvis Smylie.

Larrazábal is a nine-time winner and one of the most consistent players on the DP World Tour. Since earning the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award in 2008, he has won on three continents, including the 2023 Korea Championship.

Canter earned his second DP World Tour title earlier this year at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship, less than a year after his first success at the European Open, and Hidalgo claimed his maiden title at the 2024 acciona Open de España.

Nakajima also won his first title last season, storming to a four-stroke victory at the 2024 Hero Indian Open. The 25-year-old spent a record 87 weeks as World Amateur Number One before turning professional in 2022 and was Gold Medallist at the 2018 Asian Games in both the individual and team competitions.

Smylie won his first DP World Tour title at the first event of the 2025 Race to Dubai, winning on home soil at the BMW Australian PGA Championship. The 23-year-old also won the PGA Tour of Australasia’s Order of Merit for the 2024-25 season.

The Genesis Championship will give DP World Tour members their final opportunities to qualify for a place in the DP World Tour Play-offs, taking place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and to retain their playing rights for the 2026 Race to Dubai. The Top 110 on the Race to Dubai Rankings at the conclusion of the Genesis Championship will keep their cards for next season.
