Eddie Pepperell tees it up at INFINITUM this week, as he bids to come through DP World Tour Final Stage Qualifying School for the second time in his career.

The Final Stage of Qualifying School will consist of six rounds with each player playing two rounds at the Lakes Course and two at the Hills Course at INFINITUM in Tarragona, before the top 60 and ties play the final two rounds at the Lakes Course.

Englishman Pepperell came through the six-round test in 2016, before going on to become a two-time winner on the DP World Tour.

The 34-year-old progressed through Second Stage Q-School at Fontanals Golf Club four days ago and arrives at INFINITUM for the second time in successive years having narrowly missed out on securing DP World Tour playing privileges at the same venue 12 months ago.

“I was in quite a different place last year,” he said. “This year I feel a bit more relaxed and certainly a bit more refreshed and with a bit more energy. I don’t think I’ll feel so tense generally tomorrow on the first tee.

“I played quite well last week. At times I played really well tee to green, so I was encouraged to see that. I’m not a million miles away. Having competed last week, that’s a good thing.

“Obviously, it’s a marathon not a sprint. It’s a cliché but it’s true. I’ve found historically when I’ve played Q-School, I’ve eased into it more as the week has gone on.

“On the final day when there’s a bit more on it, there’s some tension in the air and that’s the beauty of Q-School.”

Pepperell is expecting the two courses at INFINITUM to pose very different challenges, as hope a good week in Spain could increase his playing opportunities on Golf’s Global Tour for the remainder of 2025.

“I’m here to try and do well, keep playing golf, staying invested in my golf and hopefully play some golf at the end of the year,” he added.

“From the standpoint of playing golf at the end of this year, that’s why I’m here. I want to play a bit of golf at the end of the year. Go down to Australia, maybe South Africa and Mauritius, so to give myself that opportunity, it would be nice.

“I found last year the Hills Course to be trickier than the Lakes Course. I think I’m probably going to approach the Hills Course a bit more aggressively this year off the tee, so we’ll see how that pans out. The Lakes Course is a lot more in front of you.

“They are different but it’s a good venue for Q-School and the scoring is always pretty low, so you know what you’ve got to do.”

Pepperell will be joined in Spain by several other DP World Tour winners, including Dane Lucas Bjerregaard, Frenchman Alexander Levy, Germany’s Yannik Paul and Shubhankar Sharma from India.

As well as seasoned professionals, young hopefuls are also aiming to impress having come through both First Stage and Second Stage, with the leading 20 players and ties after six rounds at INFINITUM set to secure playing privileges for 2025.

DP World Tour Qualifying School has produced a host of Major Champions, World Number Ones and Ryder Cup stars since the inaugural contest in 1976. Colin Montgomerie, Sandy Lyle, Justin Rose and Miguel Ángel Jiménez are just a few European greats to make it through ‘golf’s toughest test’ before going on to taste glory on the world stage.

INFINITUM, formerly known as Lumine Golf, hosts Final Stage for the seventh time this week, after doing so from 2017-2019 before returning in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

The first round gets under way tomorrow at 9:00am local time, with Pepperell teeing off alongside Spaniard Luis Masaveu and Frenchman Julien Brun on the Hills Course at 10:39am.
