Our Foundation Degree in Professional Golf is in conjunction with the University of Birmingham – part of the prestigious Russell Group, which comprises the top 24 universities in the UK, including Oxford and Cambridge. The PGA is attached to the Sportex School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, which is ranked sixth in the world. For Scottish students, we deliver a Diploma in Higher Education in partnership with the University of the Highlands and the Islands , which has a close association with Royal Dornoch GC

You can ‘earn as you learn’ – with the opportunity to compete in professional tournaments with prize funds while you are studying.

All our courses actively welcome international students. We are incredibly proud of the training programme we deliver which is recognised globally as world-leading. It is the foundation from which The PGA is built and has developed over last 50 years to become a sophisticated education programme delivered in partnership with two leading universities and tutors and coaches who are experts in their field.

Our courses combine: paid work experience; an academic qualification; and a range of PGA requirements including coaching qualifications together with 21 professional rounds of competitive golf.

Our graduates feel an enormous sense of pride as they move into full membership of the oldest professional association in golf and a wide variety of roles. I look forward to welcoming you at the Academy.”
