Established in 2002, the Loretto Golf Academy is located on the Scottish Golf Coast in Musselburgh, East Lothian, and offers pupils an exceptional opportunity to develop their sporting talent in tandem with a first-class education.

Directed by Golf Professional, Rick Valentine and a team of top class PGA Professional coaches, Loretto offers golfers access to state-of-the-art practice centres, and an abundance of local, accessible golf courses.

Founder, Rick Valentine explains:
“Although golf is an individual sport and all players will receive individual coaching, golf at Loretto is very much within a team environment. Players practice together as well as compete with and against each other on a regular basis. This provides a competitive environment that enhances motivation and individual development.

By joining the Loretto Golf Academy, pupils will have the opportunity to represent the school, play some of Scotland’s top golf courses and, go on one of the Academy’s overseas tours.”

The Academy’s facilities include a Huxley nine-hole artificial putting green, several driving bays, bunker and chipping areas. The indoor facilities are used to form innovative programmes for beginners and advanced pupils inclusive of expert PGA swing analysis, putting analysis and use of an indoor studio complete with video swing analysis and Trackman technology.

Loretto Golf Academy’s partner golf clubs include Craigielaw Golf Club near Aberlady; Archerfield Links near North Berwick; Musselburgh Old Links and Musselburgh Golf Club. With more than 200 pupils attending the Loretto Golf Academy, each pupil’s development pathway begins at the age of 5 and allow pupils to develop their game as they progress through the school with the best possible support to achieve their goals.
