First held in 1976, Qualifying School has been providing players from all over the world with a platform to make it to the European Tour. Due to Covid-19 all Members’ 2020 Categories, and their ranking within that category, will be retained in 2021 with related playing rights being protected to the absolute maximum possible in the 2021 season and as a consequence there will be no Qualifying School in 2020.
What is Qualifying School?
European Tour Qualifying School
Three stages. 252 holes. 25 cards. European Tour Qualifying School is arguably the toughest test in golf.
Held between September and November each year, only the top 25 players – and ties – at the end of the six-round Final Stage will make the grade and earn European Tour cards for the following season.
Competitors from around the world travel to venues in Austria, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden in a bid to make it on to Europe’s top tier.
