English duo Dan Brown and Danny Willett will both return to the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, taking place at The Belfry from August 21-24, 2025.

This year’s edition of the Betfred British Masters sits in a key position on the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai, marking the start of the Back 9 and the end of the qualification period for Team Europe, providing players with one final opportunity to earn an automatic spot on Luke Donald’s team for the Ryder Cup.

Englishman Brown, who captured his second DP World Tour title with an impressive victory at the BMW International Open earlier this month, is looking forward to an exciting run of events, starting at The Belfry next month.

“I’m absolutely buzzing for the Betfred British Masters,” said Brown. “It’s one of those events you grow up watching as an English golfer, and to now be playing it, especially having won for the second time on the DP World Tour recently, is a really special feeling. The Belfry is an iconic venue and I can’t wait for the test of the Brabazon.”

Masters Champion Willett, who donned the Green Jacket in 2016, is a proud former host of the Betfred British Masters with strong affinity for the event, having twice taken on hosting duties in 2021 and 2022.

“The Betfred British Masters is a tournament that means a lot to me,” said Willett. “Hosting it in 2021 and 2022 was a real honour and I’ve always felt the support from fans has been incredible. I’m looking forward to getting back out there and hopefully putting in a strong performance.

“I passed the baton to Sir Nick a couple of years ago and he has taken it from strength to strength. I’ve seen firsthand what goes into hosting an event of this size and it is no mean feat, so credit to him and Lady Lindsay for all the time and effort they put in to elevate the experience for both players and fans.”

The field for the 2025 Betfred British Masters is shaping up to be a real treat, with 2022 U.S. Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick being joined by defending champion Niklas Nørgaard, Ryder Cup Captain Donald, and U.S. Team Vice Captain Brandt Snedeker, who makes his debut in the event.

The Betfred British Masters has a rich legacy as one of the DP World Tour’s most historic events. This year’s tournament will be the DP World Tour’s 22nd event held at The Belfry, with the Sutton Coldfield venue first hosting the Lada English Golf Classic, won by the late Seve Ballesteros in 1979.
