Dormy Open final round report:

Anders Emil Ejlersen birdied three of his final four holes to seal a maiden HotelPlanner Tour title at the Dormy Open.

The Dane, who started the day with a one-stroke lead, signed for a closing six under par round of 65 to finish on 24 under par for the week, one shot ahead of Icelander Magnus Haraldur, who had earlier set the clubhouse lead after firing a closing 11 under par round of 60.

Having played the front nine in three under at Upsala GolfKlubb, Ejlersen added a further birdie on 11 before dropping a shot on the par five 12th. The Dane immediately responded with a gain on 13 before he made three consecutive birdies between holes 15 and 17.

Holding a two-stroke lead heading down the 72nd hole, Ejlersen bogeyed the last to seal a maiden title in what was only his fourth start on the HotelPlanner Tour.

“My heart is pumping pretty hard right now, it’s an unbelievable feeling,” he said.

“Last night I had a really hard time sleeping, I just wanted to wake up and go and play some golf. As soon as I got out here and all the nerves disappeared, and it becomes another round of golf.”

Ejlersen had not made a cut on the Road to Mallorca before this week’s event in Uppsala, having spent the majority of 2025 competing on the Nordic Golf League, one of the HotelPlanner Tour’s Official Satellite Tours.

The 26-year-old, who received an invite into the Dormy Open late on Sunday evening, admitted his breakthrough victory exceeds all expectations he had set out prior to Thursday’s opening round.

“My expectations before the event were very low; they were non-existent actually” he added. “I just hit the ball great, holed some putts and now here we are.

“I don’t even know where I go on the Rankings or what I am going to do after this week, I will have to figure everything out when I get home.

“It feels surreal, I still don’t quite know what’s happening right now. The round felt like it was only two hours long. I’ve got to enjoy this feeling as it happens so rarely.

“I was fortunate this time and hopefully it happens again soon.”

Dutchman Vince van Veen finishes the week in solo third on 22 under par, one shot ahead of Dane Jonathan Gøth-Rasmussen and Englishman John Gough, who share fourth. New Zealander Sam Jones ends the week on 20 under par, one shot ahead of Spaniard Rocco Repetto Taylor, who holds solo seventh.

Ejlersen jumps to 46th on the season-long Road to Mallorca Rankings, while the top three of David Law, Oihan Guillamoundeguy and Filippo Celli remain the same.

The Road to Mallorca now heads to Poland for the GAC Rosa Challenge Tour at Rosa Golf Club, Konopiska, taking place from September 4-7.
