French stars Matthieu Pavon, Antoine Rozner, David Ravetto and Frederic Lacroix have committed to the FedEx Open de France as the historic tournament moves to a new venue at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche from September 18-21, with tickets on sale now.
Pavon, who claimed his maiden PGA TOUR victory at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open, leads the impressive French contingent for the tournament’s 107th edition. The 32-year-old from Toulouse has established himself as one of France’s most successful golfers on the international stage, becoming the first Frenchman to win on the PGA TOUR since 1907.
The 2023 Open de España winner will be making his eighth appearance in his national open and is excited by the prospect of returning to his homeland.
“Playing in the Open de France is always special for me as a Frenchman,” said Pavon. ” I’m excited to return to Europe and compete on home soil. The move to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche adds a new dimension to this historic tournament, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of learning a new course alongside the rest of the field.”
Three-time DP World Tour winner Rozner, whose victories include the 2020 Golf in Dubai Championship, the 2021 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and 2022 AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, will be eager to capture his first title on home soil. The Parisian has consistently been one of Europe’s top performers, finishing inside the top 50 on the Race to Dubai in every season since his maiden campaign in 2020.
“The Open de France means everything to French golfers,” said Rozner. “I’ve had some strong performances in recent years, and I’m determined to capture my first victory on home soil. Playing at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche for the first time gives everyone a fresh start, which is an exciting change and I’m looking forward to playing in my home city.”
Ravetto, who secured his breakthrough victory at the 2024 D+D REAL Czech Masters, returns to his home Open looking to build on his maiden professional win. Meanwhile, Lacroix, who claimed his first title at the 2024 Danish Golf Championship, will be eager to continue his momentum from last year’s breakthrough season.
“Winning my first professional title at the Czech Masters was incredible,” said Ravetto. “Now I’m looking forward to bringing that confidence to the Open de France. There’s nothing quite like competing on home soil, and I’m excited to test myself against this world-class field at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche.”
Lacroix said: “Last year was a great year for me with my win in Denmark. The Open de France represents the pinnacle of French golf, and I’m determined to show that I can compete with the best players in the world. The support from French fans is always incredible, and I hope to give them something to cheer about.”
The 2025 FedEx Open de France marks a new chapter in the tournament’s illustrious history, with Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche hosting the event for the first time after a 21-year stint at 2018 Ryder Cup venue Le Golf National. The celebrated venue, which previously staged multiple editions of the Seve Trophy, is renowned for its strategic layout and picturesque setting, promising a thrilling test for the world-class field.
Pavon, Rozner, Ravetto and Lacroix join defending champion Dan Bradbury, PGA TOUR winners Min Woo Lee and Corey Conners, rising French star Martin Couvra, who won his maiden title at the Turkish Airlines Open in May, and Rolex Series winner Ryan Fox in what promises to be a stellar international field for the tournament’s historic 107th edition.
