Final report
Scott Jamieson is now a two-time DP World Tour winner after claiming the 2026 Nexo Championship, nearly 14 years on from his maiden title.
The 42-year-old made it back-to-back home victories at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, following Grant Forrest’s success last year, as a final round of 67 saw him reach 11 under par and finish two strokes clear of England’s Matthew Jordan.
Jamieson, who began the day three shots back from overnight leader Shaun Norris, quickly made up ground on Sunday, carding three birdies across his opening nine holes.
A two-stroke penalty for Norris – he was adjudged to have broken Rule 8.1 – Players Actions That Improve Conditions Affecting the Stroke – saw the Scot take the outright lead around the turn, before he opened his back nine with a further two gains.
Jamieson’s only bogey of the day came at the 13th, but a birdie on the next hole saw him reinstate his buffer, before a dropped shot from Jordan at the 17th saw the home hope pull three shots clear.
A safe par at the last meant the dream of victory on home soil became a reality, the win coming 5,005 days after his maiden title at the 2012 Nelson Mandela Championship presented by ISPS HANDA.
The result sees Jamieson leap from 135th to 42nd on the Race to Dubai Rankings delivered by DP World, and secure his DP World Tour card for two more years.
Jordan’s birdie at the last saw him finish at nine under par for the week, and claim outright second, while South African Norris was a further two shots back in third. England’s Andy Sullivan, Spaniard Quim Vidal and Paraguay’s Fabrizio Zanotti finished in a share of fourth at six under par.
Meanwhile, Richard Mansell produced the best round of the day to set a new course record at Trump International Golf Links. The Englishman’s seven under 65 saw him claim the $10,000 Nexo Course Record prize, and finish in a share of seventh.

The grind’s worse than trying to win – trying to win is enjoyable. But obviously, the position I was in this year, you know, I was starting to get to the business end of the season and didn’t have a lot of points up, so, yeah, to win and get a couple years of free golf is nice.
I was kind of patient all week. I think, when you get the weather like we had, it’s easy to be patient, ‘because level par is a good score. So, you’re able to grind it out, but Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I was here practicing, and I felt like I was hitting the ball really well. I did some good stuff with my coach, Jamie Gough – he has helped me tremendously in the last couple of months. I was feeling good, but that doesn’t always translate into good results, but it did this week.
I sure we’ll have fun tonight. Obviously, winning in Scotland’s cool, really cool. Shout out to Jeff Winther winning in Denmark last week; I’m good friends with Jeff, so a little bit of inspiration there.
It’s been a long time since my last win, so to do it here in Scotland is extra special. I’ve managed to keep my card for 16 years now. Every year, you’re always working towards something, and hopefully all those little things add up to wins every so often, so I’m delighted that it happened this week.
It’s been a while since I had a near miss, it’s been a long time since I’ve been in the mix with a chance to win. I think (the emotion), it’s just the pressure when you’re out on the course trying to win, and then all of a sudden, it’s realised and you’ve got a microphone in your face.
I was nervous (coming down the stretch). I was fine up until I went three ahead through 11 or something, and didn’t hit a great tee shot on the next. I just had a little word with myself and said: ‘come on, there’s still a long way to go’. Nothing is guaranteed at that point, but everyone else is nervous too – you just have to try your best.
Richard Mansell: I was (aware of the course record), to be honest. It was obviously the friendliest conditions today, I knew it was six (under) – that actually did surprise me, but I guess we normally play here and it’s just terrible conditions. It felt friendlier today and I did think it was on.
It’s been really difficult. I ruptured my ankle first, then had hip surgery. I chose to come back early, I knew it was going to be difficult. Obviously winning last year, I have an exemption next year. I thought it was going to be easier than it was, I missed my first three cuts by a shot and it’s been difficult. I just feel in a really good spot, this is my first time playing four rounds and my body feels good, which is a massive positive for me.
