Final round report

Casey Jarvis claimed his maiden DP World Tour title, rounding off a wire-to-wire success at the 2026 Magical Kenya Open presented by absa.

The South African, who had shared the lead after each of the first three rounds, held off playing partner Davis Bryant in a Sunday that was twice interrupted by stormy conditions in Nairobi.

Jarvis made six birdies and topped off his eight under par round of 62 with a second eagle of the day to win by three strokes at Karen Country Club.

The 22-year-old began his day with three birdies and a bogey in his first four holes to reach 19 under par, still one clear of compatriot Hennie Du Plessis.

Another gain came at the sixth, with Bryant pouring in three in a row from the fifth to stay on his tail as Jarvis reached the turn one ahead.

Bryant coolly slotted his birdie putt at the 11th but Jarvis brilliantly eagled the 12th, perfectly judging his putt up the steep slope in front of the green to move two up with six to play, moments before the hooter went to bring the players in as thunder rolled.

He extended his lead with a birdie on the resumption and holed a testing par putt at the next, as he edged closer to becoming the third South African to win the event after Jacques Kruyswijk in 2025 and Justin Harding in 2021.

Jarvis’ dream became reality when he finished birdie-eagle to reach 25 under par and finally taste victory, no less on African soil in his fourth appearance at the event.

Bryant’s birdie on his final hole left him outright second ahead of Du Plessis, who finished with an eagle, followed by Francesco Laporta at 20 under par. Jacob Skov Olesen’s 65 saw him finish at 19 under along with Nathan Kimsey, whose fellow Englishman Matthew Jordan shot 62 to vault up to seventh.

Jarvis now moves to fourth on the 2026 Race to Dubai on 890.25 points.

Player quotes

Casey Jarvis: It’s amazing. I’ve actually never won in front of my dad before. I’ve wanted to win in front of him so badly, and to finally do it, I can’t explain to you the emotions. I was so nervous coming down the last two, so it feels great.

There’s not many words that can describe the feeling, I also wish my mum was here but she’s back home in the UK. But it’s unbelievable, he’s been with me through the ups, through the downs – a lot more downs than ups. I know this moment doesn’t happen often so we’re going to celebrate it properly tonight.

There were so many thoughts going through my mind when we took the first break. I felt nervous coming back out. I just tried to stay as much in the moment as possible and played solid the next four holes I think we were out, before we got called off again. I was extremely nervous when we went back out the second time, but I got it done.

I have been knocking on the door a few times, so to finally get it done, to know that I am capable to get it down, it truly means the world for me.
