Formula 1 star Lando Norris and McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown will swap the world of motorsports for golf when they tee it up in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am, taking place at Wentworth Club on Wednesday September 10, 2025.
The pair join tennis icon Andy Murray, England Men’s Test Captain Ben Stokes and former England and Chelsea captain John Terry in the Pro-Am field for what promises to be a star-studded line-up of celebrities from the worlds of sports, music and entertainment. Tickets for the Celebrity Pro-Am are available now and fans are encouraged to purchase early to avoid disappointment. To view ticket options, click here.
Under Brown’s stewardship, McLaren has emerged as the dominant force in Formula 1 in 2025, currently holding a healthy lead in the Constructor’s Championship, which they also won last season, and with Norris occupying second place in the Driver’s Championship, just 15 points behind teammate Oscar Piastri after 11 rounds.
Norris has continued to establish his credentials as one of the leading stars in Formula 1, winning three times so far in 2025, most recently at this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix. He was also victorious at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and the historic Monaco Grand Prix and has recording six further podium finishes this year.
It will be the second time Norris has taken part in the Celebrity Pro-Am, which is the traditional curtain raiser for the BMW PGA Championship, having partnered with Ryder Cup player Tyrrell Hatton in 2022, while Brown will tee it up in the star-studded event for the first time.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Lando Norris back to the BMW PGA Championship’s Celebrity Pro-Am,” said Darrell O’Hora, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship. “He’s one of Britain’s brightest young sports stars and will bring great energy to the event.”
“It’s also a real pleasure to have Zak Brown joining us for the first time and our thanks go to our partners DP World for inviting them to play this year. With the line-up for both the Celebrity Pro-Am and the BMW PGA Championship really coming together, the buzz is building and we can’t wait for what promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family.”
