The winners have been unveiled today of the 2025 European Tour Group Sustainability Awards, at a ceremony that took place at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
Returning for their second year in an expanded format, the Awards honour the Tour’s partners and suppliers who have shown leadership and innovation in helping to deliver more sustainable golf tournaments around the world. They were open to all suppliers who had worked at DP World Tour, HotelPlanner Tour, Legends Tour or G4D Tour events during the 2024 – 2025 seasons.
The judging panel comprised a mix of experts from golf tournament operations and sustainability in golf, including independent experts from the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf.
The inaugural 2024 Awards focused on suppliers to tournaments in the Middle East, but for 2025 this was expanded to include all tournaments staged between 1st September 2024 and 1st October 2025, with winners from multiple geographies announced across five individual categories. These were as follows:
Technology, Innovation and Partnerships Award
- Winner, Europe: ClereGolfHub
- The ClereGolfHub is a golf course surveying and geo spatial mapping solution that supports tournament planning and preparation. This entry impressed the judges with how they have continued to evolve their model to balance both operational and environmental requirements, and the technology’s ability to help golf courses around the world mitigate their environmental impact.
- Winner, Middle East: Al Laith
- Al Laith delivers versatile temporary project and rental solutions throughout the Middle East. The judges were impressed by the wide range of sustainability innovations displayed across all facets of Al Laith’s event support, from materials, water and energy efficiency to on-site build. This included installing modular, waterless urinals, as well as rolling out new IoT-enabled electric machinery to replace diesel alternatives.
- Winner, Rest of the World: Virtual Eye
- Virtual Eye is a world leader in the provision of 3D TV graphics and won the Award for their work in supporting the Tour’s roll-out of remote broadcast production. As well as supporting impressive carbon emissions reductions and operational efficiencies, Virtual Eye has also significantly enhanced the fan experience for viewers around the globe.
Venue Award
- Winner, Europe: Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club
- Host venue of the Omega European Masters, what stood out for the judges was the partnership between the venue and the community which has become a true showcase in how to create lasting legacy. At every turn the venue demonstrated excellent environmental and social initiatives – from engagement with local schools, to bird box installations – which was combined with thoughtful planning in carbon reduction and a willingness to invest in future initiatives.
- Winner, Middle East: Yas Links Golf Club
- Host venue of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Yas Links demonstrated a wide range of initiatives. From successful GEO Certification to community engagement initiatives, this entry had it all. The venue also showcased strong data in their entry, with solid emissions reductions by using solar, having an electric buggy fleet, using LEDs, and using treated effluent water on the golf course.
- Winner, Rest of the World: Royal Queensland Golf Club
- Host of the BMW Australian PGA Championship on the DP World Tour, the venue has successfully achieved GEO Certification, and its entry focused on its strong on-going commitment to biodiversity and championing nature.
Catering Award
- Winner, Europe: Aramark
- Aramark are a global food services provider and their entry really stood out for its breadth and depth, backed up by excellent use of data to show progress. They also showed the ability to successfully cater for large scale tournaments with hyper local food sourcing which drives community engagement.
- Winner, Middle East: No More Bottles
- The No More Bottles water filtration systems provide an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bottles and have been used at several UAE based tournaments. This entry was an excellent example of how practical solutions can positively impact behaviour change.
Staging Award
- Winner, Europe: Wasserman Live
- Wasserman Live specialise in delivering branding and signage, custom fabrication, live event production and experiential operations globally. This entry impressed the judges with its clear and ambitious objective setting – with a desire to be sustainability leaders in their field and pioneer new materials technologies when building event staging – coupled with powerful data to showcase success in achieving these objectives.
- Winner, Middle East: Wicked and Flow
- A joint entry by Wicked, a temporary structure and venue solutions company, and Flow, a leading provider of temporary power and HVAC, who won for their ambitious vision for powering the Earth Lounge hospitality unit at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship on the DP World Tour. This self-sustaining, hybrid solar and hydrogen renewable energy solution is setting a new standard for sustainable event power.
Operations Award
- Winner, Europe: Change Waste Recycling
- Based in Scotland, Change Waste Recycling brought their innovative and robust waste solutions to the Genesis Scottish Open and showed strong objective setting, impressive data driven reporting, and year on year tracking against objectives.
- Winner, Middle East: Deep Shine
- Deep Shine specialise in cleaning and maintenance services across the UAE and showcased a robust approach to tackling event delivery challenges. The judges were particularly impressed with how their entry blended environmental considerations with an impressive dedication to training and qualifications for their workforce.
