Opened in 1922, the course was designed by Augusta national co-creator Dr Alister MacKenzie and offers a little taste of Augusta in the Kingdom of Fife. Nine of the courses eighteen fairways are crossed by burns which come into play from the tees and approach shots calling for accuracy and good course management skills. In similarity with its Georgia counterpart, Pitreavie also has a number of sloping putting surfaces, some of which are quite testing. Mackenzie’s influence can be seen all over the course, but especially the double and triple tiered greens, which are not slow either!! Get on the wrong side of one of these and you could be in four-putt territory!!

Pitreavie Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 71 parkland course and offers great golf to individuals, group visitors, golf societies and corporate clients. This undulating parkland course is situated only 13 miles from Edinburgh with fantastic views over the Forth bridges and is home to one of the region’s finest golf courses and visited by hundreds of golfers each year – a wonderful venue that has become a favourite amongst players.

Travelling from the North, East or South
From the M90 (Northbound or Southbound), at junction 2, exit onto A823(M) towards Dunfermline.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Queensferry Rd/A823
Go through 1 roundabout.
At the next roundabout, take the 4th exit and stay on Queensferry Rd/A823 *
Destination will be on the left after approx 600 yards.

Travelling from the West
Continue to follow A907 until it meets the Coal Road.
Follow the Coal Road until it joins Forth Street, then turn left.
Go through the traffic lights onto Netherton Broad Street.
Turn right at roundabout onto Bothwell Street and follow A823.
Straight over next roundabout, then through set of traffic lights onto Queensferry Rd
Straight through next roundabout, continuing on Queensferry Road. *
Destination will be on the left after approx 600 yards.

* NOTE:- for those using satnav and entering our Post Code, we have had reports of Golfers ending up in Cedar Grove. There is no direct access to the Golf Club from there. At the roundabout on the dual carriageway do not go East into Laburnum Road but go south on Queensferry Road for approximately 600 yards to the Club Car park entrance.
